    LAGGING

    Hi There.

I was always looking for a remake eversince I played WoF on the Amiga back in the days ... Thanks for that.

Unfortunately I am experiencing some very serious lags ingame, meaning that the graphic display is lagging while the game seems to keep running.
This will cause a 2-6 second wait on graphics during which my plane keeps doing whatever it was doing -> Upon returning to the gameplay the plane will be way past the island already or even crashed since I was in a dive when lagging started.

I already tried turning off all kinds of Details, AA, Sync and my system should be up to it as well (P4, 1g Ram, GTO 256MB graphics ...)

    Thanks for any help

What exactly is your graphics card model? Do you have the latest graphics card driver / .NET framework? Are the other games working smoothly??

    Hi.

I got an ATI Radeon x800 PRO/GTO, 256MB onboard (no OC)

.NET is installed (as seen in the software-screen in versions 2.0, 3.0 and 3.5)

Drivers for ANY device should be the latests too since I set up the system freshly a little while ago.

I am not experiencing any trouble with any other game currently (as long as hardware-requirements aren't over the head of my system anyways).

    Any idea?

Is it lagging all the time or only occasionally. Could you post ogre.log file (located in wof2 dir\bin\release\ )?

Its lagging just occasionally - Lets say around every 60-90 secs.

There is no ogre.log or are you talking about the ogre.txt file ?

Nope, I'm talking about bin\release\Ogre.log. This file is created after every run of the game.

Do you have antivirus software on?
Does it lag no matter what you do or when you bombard bunkers?

Sorry. No such thing in my bin\release - folder.

There is a log-type in the above mentioned txt-file however (see below).

I am using Antivir (Free-ed.), Spybot and a firewall

    The lags occur seemingly arbitrary.

    ---

Beginning of content of ogre.txt after a short 2min run (one lag while in mid-air)

Is that what you are talkign about?

Yeah, that's the file. .txt huh? strange :)
Could you post the whole file?

Please try to disable the antivir / firewall stuff for a while and see if it helps.
